HIV/AIDS Awareness Programs

HSCC’s HIV/AIDS Working Group organizes several awareness and education events throughout the year including events for World AIDS Day and National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The Working Group also helps plan Project H.E.A.R.T. (HIV/AIDS Education and Research Training), a youth education and prevention program. These programs are made possible by proceeds generated from the Annual Mon Valley HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk.

The Walk’s goal is to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, and to show support for those living with HIV/AIDS, especially in the Mon Valley. Thank you to those who participated in this year’s Mon Valley HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk!

This year’s 21st Annual Mon Valley HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021!

The Walk will be virtual this year. Join us for a Zoom kick-off event and then walk in your neighborhood or local park to show your support. More details coming soon!
